Toby and Archie on vacation

Toby and Archie had a wonderful summer escape to our favourite dog friendly destination, Culburra beach NSW

We watched dolphins frolic in the water right outside our house and the dogs ran themselves ragged on the beach- young Archie  thoroughly enjoyed learning to surf.

This was a great socialising experience for young Archie as he explored the sights and sounds of the beach and water. He also learnt to swim under the careful guidance of Toby who showed him how it was done.  We just let him paddle ever so cautiously for a couple of days and once he was comfortable he pretty much took the next steps on his own. I paid particular attention to not allowing him to get dunked by any waves which would have given him a negative experience at this critical time of his learning.

We stayed at a wonderful renovated fibro beach shack called On The Beach which is clean, comfortable and provides modern appliances to ensure a  relaxing getaway.

You could not get a more dog friendly property than this. There is a huge fully fenced yard which opens right onto a stunning beach which permits dogs to run off leash...(see attached photo of the two dogs hanging in the back garden)
