Cats behaving badly- my cat digs up pot plants and digs holes in the ground
This is usually the behaviour of a cat selecting a suitable toilet site, or covering her droppings once she has deposited them. Covering over the soil in a pot with gravel or small pebbles will often act as a deterrent, as may the presence of orange peel, black pepper, or sheets of aluminiumfoil.
Eating plants can sometimes be discouraged by spraying them with diluted white vinegar or lemon juice, or specifically designed repellents.
In the garden, burying chicken wire just under the top layer of dirt can often protect precious plants.
Make sure your cat has access to a clean litter tray which is changed daily.
